Refunds take 10-15 days to flow through the banking system and appear on the payer’s card. When a refund is issued to your card, an automated notification is sent to your email address confirming the date the refund has been issued. Both card Issuers and merchant banks must now ensure that, before a refund can be issued, they have physically received the funds to cover the refund.
What does this mean?
- Once a refund request is submitted by a merchant, an automated collection of funds is initiated from the merchant’s account to Yapstone’s account. This process takes 6-7 days. Funds must be received from the merchant’s account in order for a successful refund to occur.
- Upon Yapstone’s receipt of the funds from the merchant’s account, the funds are transferred to your card. This process takes up to an additional 5-8 days to appear as a credit to your card.
During the process, we ask that you not initiate a chargeback with your card issuer. If you have received an email confirmation regarding your refund date but have not received funds back to your account after 15 days, please contact Yapstone by clicking here and we will provide you with an update on the status of your refund.
Note: If a payment was made by E-check, refund times may exceed 15 days.
