TLS, or Transport Layer Security, are protocols to protect data connections between devices (i.e. internet to servers; mobile phones to servers). As TLS is more secure than SSL, YapStone’s PCI SSC certification requires us to use TLS v1.1 or higher.
To continue to provide the highest level of security and compliance for our customers, YapStone will no longer provide support for TLS 1.0, and TLS 1.1. Our customers will need to migrate to TLS 1.2 in order to receive continued support.
For customers whose software is already TLS V1.2 compliant, no action will be needed and the transition will be seamless. Customers whose software’s TLS libraries are out of date will need to contact the software provider and download the newest version of their software (where available).
Migration and software updates must take place by February 15, 2019 in order to continue to use YapStone’s services.
The minimum browser requirements to meet the TLS migration are listed below:
Opera version 20
Chrome version 38
Safari version 7
Firefox version 23
